    Hi everyone,
I would like to know how many tracks you can record on a computer via the cards:

    -SQ Dante?
    -SQ Waves 3?

And depending on the card chosen,
What apps, drivers or adapters should we use if we want to record the tracks on Logic?

    SQ Dante – 64channels
SQ Waves – not 100% but think it is 64 as well.

For Dante and recording, you can look at DVS (Dante Virtual Soundcard), it gives you 64 channels at 48KHz or 32 channels at 96KHz (the Dante card has a samplerate converter build in )

Waves I have no experience with recording.

Søren has covered the Dante info well 🙂

To confirm and add to the Waves info

    Number of channels : 64×64
    Sample rate : 48kHz or 96kHz
Soundgrid driver : 64×64 (at either sample rate)

Dedicated network connections to the computer are often recommended.

    Cheers,
    Keith.

Thank you, Can we record tracks from the Waves card on a DAW other than Waves (Logic for example)?

… And do you need to install a driver for this?

Yes, you need to install the sound grid driver on your PC/MAC and then you should be able to record into any DAW. I’ve done it with Tracks Live, Reaper, and Logic on Mac as well as Reaper on Windows.

Thanks, I just installed the Waves card on the SQ,
as well as the Soundgrid driver on my MacBook.
Logic recognizes the card! (Waves SoundGrid 64×64)

The SQ plays a show recorded last summer via USB (see pict 1)

I would like to route the USB channels to the Waves card (see pict 2)
This must not be the right routing, because Logic is not receiving any signal,
how should I configure the I/O panel?

You have source on the left and destination on top.

In other words, right now you are sending Waves/Soundgrid 1-x to USB out 1-x 😉

I already have a problem, Logic sends me this message:

“Audio & MIDI Sync Error: Sampling rate of 44100 recognized.
Check for conflicts between Logic Pro and external devices.”

    Logic Project is 48kHz,

    … and SQ-5 Audio Sync is “Internal – 48kHz”

Is this how you send USB tracks to the SoundGrid?
