Hi
I own a qu 32 desk im thinking of getting a stage box however ive seen online there is one that reads AR2412 GLD as the model anonther just reads AR2412 i need to buy the correct one for my desk is there a differnce
It says FOR GLD. Read down below. It says for GLD or QU.
New ones now are black. Not purple. I sell them. I have an older purple one along with the other 2. I have a GLD80 and QU16 I use for demo and small shows and TV audio I do.
Let me break it down Dick..look at tge purple one it says gld ar2412…and the say its for both gld and qu ..then the black one says ar2412 and description says its for gld and they dont mention qu.but if u look at the pdf docs on a&h page they only mention ar2412 not gld Ar2412..but Cumbee did explain the purple one is the older one and he is selling the stuff
The two models are identical other than the colour and the XLR tabs to lock XLR cables. There is no change in components inside the box nor firmware.
Either would work with both Qu and GLD.
So if I was to add a AR2412 to my Qu-SB, I’d get:
— 16 extra mic pre inputs
— I could map another 6 XLR’s as stereo inputs corresponding to St-1-3
— Leaving 2 XLRs spare
How many of the AR2412’s 12 output channels could I use?
EG, for IEM pairs?
As the AR2412s inputs are assignable, you can use all 24 and patch them where you want.
You can use all 12 of the outputs, again, assignable from any outputs you choose.
…number of individual mixes is limited by the Qu. On Qu16 there are four mono and three stereo mixes. On Qu-SB/Pac/24/32 you can also use groups as additional mixes.
