    Hi,
I would like to know how I can access the “Soft 1-2-3-4” buttons via midi from Cakewalk Sonar. I have assigned Soft1 to mute my reverb and Soft2 to mute delays. Soft4 is my “Tap Tempo”. I would like to know how to transmit a command to un-mute the reverb at the beginning of the song and mute it at the end. Also I would like to know how to transmit TEMPO to the console for the delay to set automatically. Thanks for your help.

The soft keys can be controlled with Note On & Note Off messages. Details can be found on page 10 of the SQ MIDI Protocol Issue 1 document found here: https://www.allen-heath.com/media/SQ-MIDI-Protocol-Issue1.pdf

    Hi!

This post is in the Qu forum and the Qu does not have MIDI control for soft keys, whereas the SQ does.

The Qu has a lot of parameters available for MIDI control, including mutes and an option to send a fixed delay time value.

You can find this information in the Qu MIDI Protocol here: https://www.allen-heath.com/media/Qu_MIDI_Protocol_V1.9.pdf

Let me know if you have any questions!

    Thanks
    Alex

    Hi,
Thanks for your replies……..I will give this a try sometimes soon. I’m in the middle of remodeling my studio and my setup has been taken apart. I will get back to you soon if I have any questions.

    Regards,
