Issues during usb recording

Hello,
my avantis are making more problems now and getting me nervous. Gx4816 have broken preamp (much quieter, like -10db) also..

Besides broken local preamp (noisy), laggy soft and fader issues (stays on different positions which cause unintended send level change on busses…),
now recording have drops, cracklings and speed issues (short speed ups or slowdowns).
What do you think – maybe this is a hard drive problem?
To bad that we cannot record directly on usb.
Have anyone replaced hard drive on its own? My warranty for avantis just ended.

We’ve noticed similar issues (crackling, sudden speed up/slowdowns of audio) on our Avantis recordings.

We have experienced these issues as well. It’s unfortunate that we can’t trust the local drive to record 3 people talking for 20 minutes.

I have been having the same issues. Allen & Heath says they are working on it.

We have fixed performance issues with the internal recording in firmware V1.31.
If you’re running latest firmware and still experiencing problems, please raise a ticket with our Support team at support.allen-heath.com
