Sounds like a networking issue rather than a QuPad issue.

Full details of IP, netmask for iPad and QU. Ensure you’re not using the WAN port of the router

Yes, the SQ supports gigaACE, so you can join two desks

Are you mixing the mix you think you are mixing? On the pad? On the desk?

Nope, this isn’t a CPU problem, but a USB controller chip problem.

If BP start putting 30% water in fuel at the pump you don’t gonasking Ford to ‘make your engine work with 30% water in the fuel’. You don’t buy BP fuel and/or pressure BP to stop being idiots…

The issue here is that Intel are approaching a monopoly…

SB, Mixing Station Pro and a midi faderbank (BCF2k).

Gets you a handful of remote faders…

Custom layer won’t help – but a VSC scene could – then save settings to libraries and import back to your live setup.

Or repatch the desk so the band are on the low numbered channels…

dSnake connections are fundamentally different, and patchable – the local I/O is analogue in feel.

How can A&H fix a complete timing screwup in some else’s hard/firmware…

The Qu still works perfectly well with computers – some computers are now built that are not compatible… there are others that are…

Can you measure the phase? Use a couple of short cables and run the outputs into channels 1-10, then QuDrive record and compare wave forms

You don’t *need* to, you might like to of course 😉

USB and other local inputs aren’t patchable – it’s one the features of the desk – analogue simplicity.

DCAs are not routed – so they don’t get any eq/fx/delay/sends of their own (that’s fine for your stated needs).

They are a remote control for the other faders, the two gains are summed (so -inf on either DCA or channel is -inf, 0 on both is 0. If you have a mix of instruments at -10->5 dB with the DCA at 0 then you can adjust them all (I.e to drop them under vocals) by dropping the DCA 5dB… that will be as if you had the instruments at between -15 and 0. Magic 😉

    The ‘dangers’ are:
    – muting or dropping the DCA and forgetting about it!
    – The DCA can’t take a channel fader to more than 10dB, so a channel fader over unity won’t go quite as high if you stomp the DCA to +10. That’s a pretty minor issue though…
