Come on guys – I know you don’t do that but give us at least some beta version of this firmware so we can have some fun at home in these crazy times 😀 we can always go back to 1.4.4 if something’s wrong 😉

Thanks for this post stuartkeys. I’ve tried it today with another Windows PC – this time it’s the Windows10 and again all seems to work fine. I have some work to do with Dante setup in couple of days so it seems I’m gonna have to make it with PC. I know there’s still a USB connection but I bought Dante card because I don’t want to use usb which I found unstable. Hope they’re working on it :/

    Hello,
    Long time but same issue.
I’ve got the same problem on my SQ5. The desk (primary port of dante card) is connected to MBP directly, DHCP on Mac is on and automatic ip adress in dante controller network configuration for the desk is also on. I’ve got the latest firmware for the dante card (it wasn’t easy to install it on the card because dante updater doesn’t seem to work properly on my computer).
The only not updated thing is the dante controller of which latest version is not “supported” on OS Catalina. Could this be a reason?
I’ve connected a PC to the second dante port and on PC-dante controller MBP is black and not red as it is on Mac dante controller.
Strange thing is that i’ve got audio signals flow between the units but Latency Status for MBP is red (more than 10ms). Both dante controllers (pc and mac) show the same stuff but on MBP my mac is red on the devices list and black on pc list.

And the message from my dante controller for MBP is: Resolved device address on Dante interface is 127.0.0.1
It’s the not-existing address in my network I think.

Is there anyone with Dante Controller v 4.2.3.1 on MBP with Catalina whose not having this issue? I need to know if it’s a dante controller problem or somewhere else :/ please help

I tried different things. Unfortunately it seems that the only way to format usb in the way that SQ sees it is to format it with SQ desk. Even if I try to format usb on my computer (FAT) and then copy my usb drive which i use with my desk to it – the desk asks for formatting. The funny thing is that when I plug this usb with stuff copied from “original” one to my computer – MixPad app works with it perfectly 🙂 but the desk doesn’t.
So the only way I’ve found yet to prepare a show offline on a PC is formatting usb with sq desk so then you can plug it to your computer and work with SQ MixPad. I know it’s not a solution for you :/
I think that computer version of MixPad needs to be armed with usb formatting function.
For now – if you have an iPad you can prepare show with it’s version of MixPad app and then transfer it to SQ desk wirelessly.

For the record: I use MacBook so I don’t know if it’s the same on Windows.

    cheers

Ok, so there is one problem with what I wrote – I’ve tried it on my computer and after moving usb to my desk message on the SQ screen says that the usb “needs formatting” which means that SQ desk itself should do the formatting. I can’t find any usb formatting inside the MixPad app so I don’t know if it’s possible to format usb for the desk on the computer. Even putting a show file in “AHSQ” directory on the usb (as it is on already formatted usb) doesn’t help. Maybe someone fro A&H could help?

In the SQ MixPad app on you PC/Mac go to Utility and choose “Working Directory” on the bottom of the screen. You can choose either a directory on you hard drive and after creating a show copy it to usb or choose the usb drive as a working directory so the app will write shows directly to your usb. That should do the job.
Keep in mind that there is no hard drive on the SQ desk so you will have to overwrite the show that is already on the desk. The only way to save the existing show is to save it on your or other usb drive.
    Hope this helps 🙂

    Hi,
Keith I have a question about sample rate conversion in a situation when I plug an AR2412 to my SQ Slink port and want to record to my daw via Dante Card. So the the Slink port upsamples signals (from AR2412) from 48 to 96 and then Dante card converts it back to 48? From what I’ve red here it’s gonna be so? Even when I use tielines? I ask because i want to buy Dante card to record in 48 and just wonder what happends with a signal in this configuration.
    Thanks
