I have thought about it but I worry that my settings will get lost.
2022/06/08 at 10:05 am #107484Mike C: The LR just happened to be turned down when I took the photo. I never use mixes 1-4. The ALT out is LR pre.
Giga: I know I have signal because I see the green bars moving when there is sound in the mic. I also have been able to record in Cubase through this channel.
Keith: AFL is switched off. I don’t understand what you mean by insert point and gate. The weird thing is that most of my channels are set up in exactly the same way and work perfectly. It is just this one channel…
I am beginning to panic a bit now, I have a big job coming in and can’t afford having a non-functioning piece of kit. Should I place a more formal support ticket somewhere?
Thanks everyone for your help so far.
2022/06/07 at 3:52 pm #107474No, I can’t hear anything in headphones.
Yes, connecting to LR mains but also a separate mix to another pair of monitors through Alt out.
I am not sure what you mean by “assigned to all outputs”, but if I press assign, all the green lights are on.
If I press the Pre Fade key, nothing happens. None of the Sel keys light up.Firmware is 1.95 4561

2022/06/06 at 4:46 pm #107463One channel of my QU-32 (ch 13) produces signal to my DAW when recording but no monitoring. Zero sound in the monitors when I crank up the volume. I have tried and copied the channel settings of the adjacant channel, which works normally. Please help.
2022/05/28 at 10:06 pm #107344I was hoping that I could use the QU-32 itself for this, but I suppose I have to resign to buying more gear… Always fun but don’t tell my wife. Thanks anyway!
2021/03/13 at 2:01 pm #99795I have now managed to get a signal through two individual channels. I used quite a bit of tweaking in Cubase (gain staging). Maybe that is the problem. The dynamic head room in the QU-32 is enormous for an old analog guy like me. 🙂
However, another problem is that I don’t understand how to route the ST1-2 inputs. Never really have. In the I/O patch menu it indicates that they should be available in channels 33-40 and I don’t get that. If anyone could explain how all that works, I’d be much obliged.
Thanks everyone for ideas and moral support. Routing is a challenge…
2021/03/10 at 1:46 pm #99709I don’t think that is the issue as I can get the music blasting in my speakers.
2021/03/10 at 1:43 pm #99708Yes, I get proper levels through the mixer. I just don’t seem to be able to get it through to the DAW.
2020/12/08 at 10:04 am #97077PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
Mike C, the answer is, yes I did, but not correctly. I went back to the I/O Patch menu on my QU-32 and the channel assignment was muddled. You kicked me in the right direction!
Thanks to Mike and everyone for helping me.
Cheers
2020/12/07 at 8:39 pm #97036Actually, now that I have gone through all channels, it ends with channel 18. Beyond that I can’t record.
2020/12/07 at 6:47 pm #97027Right now, I am just connecting a single mic to the different channels. 1.24, no problem. Above that, I see that the mic is connected and I hear it in my monitoring system. But nothing when I record.
2019/11/22 at 11:02 am #87839Alex, I just lost DAW control. There is now so much weird stuff going on I wouldn’t know how to describe it in a ticket. Do you have an upload facility so I can send you a short video? That would be a fast way for you to see what is going on.
2019/11/21 at 10:27 pm #87822Hi Alex,
OK, it works just fine now. However, there are some phenomena which surprise me a bit. If I activate (click on) a track in Cubase, the mute button on the corresponding channel is lit up. I can unmute it so it is not a problem. The second thing is that if I press any of the Solo buttons in Cubase, the mute button on channel 13 starts blinking, again I can make it disappear. Qu MIDI ports are now inactive.Sven
2019/11/21 at 3:14 pm #87799Alex, I think that did it. Now it’s MIDI channel 2 and consequently MIDI DAW Control Channel 3. I believe this is what it should be, right? I wonder if this got muddled up when I updated the Qu-32’s firmware.
I will keep you updated.
Big thanks sofar. You guys are great. Quick and informal support means everything to a nitwit like me. 🙂
