I’ve had my SQ-5 for several days now and it too has locked up on three occasions. FW 1.1.0 r1989

Fortunately, I’m still in the studio and won’t be taking it out until it’s 100% reliable.

Looks like the X32 will be seeing extended duty!

Yippee … The SQ-5 has arrived !

I have spoken with Rudy at SafeCase and ordered a simple tray style road case.

The Technical Datasheet for the SQ provided most of the needed dimensions. However, to ensure adequate support during transit, the height of the front (hand rest area) and distance from the front edge to fader at rest was needed for proper placement of the foam supports.

As Keith mentioned above, it would be wise to ensure proper ventilation of the mixer during operation.

Now that the SQs are beginning to find their way into the real world, has anyone gotten a case for their new baby ?

Keith – do you have any specifications yet that we could pass on to the case manufacturers ?

Yes … I too will require the remote app as well as a smartphone app for the folks on stage to mix their IEMs. So … I’m holding my order until those appear. The X-32 remote apps are great and I would expect the same for the SQ.

My rep said that he would have a unit to demo in mid November. Well … we’re just about finished with the turkey leftovers and still no SQ. This is going to be like waiting for Christmas morning ! ☺

Anybody in the U.S. touched one yet ?

I contacted SafeCase and sent them the Technical Datasheet for the SQ measurements.

They can readily make a nice road case for either the SQ-5 or SQ-6.

I have several of their cases and am quite pleased with the build quality and value.
