    Hello @incandescence,

I would recommend you try a different pair of speakers to disregard any possibility of the noise coming from the speaker side.
Regarding the suggestions from Giga just above, I would also recommend performing a Hard Reset of the mixer to make sure all settings are back to fabric state and disregard any possibility of having a tone generator active or any other setting that could cause this or any other potential issue.
Steps for Hard Reset can be found on page 84 of the user guide: https://www.allen-heath.com/media/Qu-Mixer-Reference-Guide-AP9372_10.pdf

If after this you still encounter the same behaviour, please submit a ticket with our support centre at: support@allen-heath.com

    Thank you!

    Hello @alli,

Files might appear corrupted if not concluding the saving process after the recording.
I noticed that you were having trouble stopping the recording, but shutting down the mixer or removing the USB drive without the finalizing the process can potentially cause this issue.
We do have an article regarding Recovery of corrupted SQ-Drive recordings, please refer to:
    https://support.allen-heath.com/hc/en-gb/articles/4402934227857-SQ-Recovery-of-corrupted-SQ-Drive-recordings

Please note that the recovery of the files cannot be fully guaranteed, but it can be attempted through the above process.

    Hello @nathan,

Here’s a few things that you can check:
    – In order to use the USB B connection at the rear of the mixer, you must select the USB B interface within the mixer. This is done on setup – Audio – USB: USB Mode – USB B
    – If you are sending you L&R over to your computer, make sure that you have a good gain structure and signal level, and both input channels and Master fader are up to unity level.
    – At the I/O, make sure that your Main L&R are patched to USB 1&2
    – On Windows, open your Sound Settings, then select SQ1&2 as your INPUT DEVICE. Underneath this tab, there is a “Test your microphone” bar, where you should be able to see the incoming signal from the mixer.
    – Once you have done the above and confirmed that you have signal coming in from your SQ1&2 channels, the ‘Voice Recorder’ application will by default have this same input source to record.

I hope this helps you, if you continue having trouble then please submit a ticket through our support system to: support@allen-heath.com

    Thank you,
    Rafael

    Hello @Yash,

You may want trying to format the drive in a computer first then.
You can do this by selecting the drive on your PC, right click on it and select ‘Format’, select the file system as FAT32.
Once it has been formatted, insert the drive on the mixer and format again inside the mixer.

BILLY MOORE, your enquiry seems to not be particularly related to the thread started by Yash; Please start a new thread or get in touch with our support team if you require further assistance, by sending us a message to support@allen-heath.com

    Thank you!

    Hello @BradM,

When enabling Control Network Bridge, the Dante Card and the SQ local network port will have each unique different IP addresses assigned by the DHCP server, but you would only need to connect either of them into the Network to have access to both for control messaging – for example, SQ-MixPad could connect through the Dante card and Dante Controller can ‘see’ the Dante card through the SQ network port.
This is why it’s labelled as a Control Network Bridge, as it only bridges the control network.

The only thing you can’t do is to share Dante audio through the SQ’s network port.

    Hello @shinyheadmusic,

You should be able to listen to the channel individually by PAFL, regardless of which bus is being sent to.
If you cannot listen to the signal by selecting PAFL on the channel and monitoring with your headphones, then it is likely that you are not receiving any signal at all.

Please double check that it is being patched correctly from the SLink port (Or SLink Card, depending what you’re using) to the input channel required.
Also check that you have set a correct gain structure for that signal to reach an audible level.

If you need further assistance, please send a message to our support system and we’ll be happy to troubleshoot with you: support@allen-heath.com
    Thank you,

    Hello @soundguy,

As pointed out by Mfk0815 and advised on the ticket, the main layer in MixPad follows the default layout, which is fixed. This does not follow the current lay out of your SQ console.
You can then create a custom layer, and setup the layout for MixPad as it better suits your needs. This will also not affect the current layout of the surface.

    Cheers,
    Rafael

    Hi @glennalonzo

On following up with your previous enquiry with our support team, I cannot seem to find if there was any resolution with your unit.
It was advised by my colleagues that the unit might require service, I would recommend reaching for that first to ensure it is not a hardware issue.
(I will follow up with your on the ticket)

In regards with the Add-ons, I’m afraid we do not have trial versions of the Add-ons at this time. Sorry about that!
    Thank you,
    Rafael

    Hello Lee,

I can see what you mean with the cable having to cross the mixer. I guess it is a very fair point!
If this is giving you trouble, a solution that might help you well is using a Headphone extension cord and passing it under/side of the mixer so that you can connect your headphones from a different location without having the cord on the way.

I hope this solution serves you!
    Cheers,
    Rafa

    Hello @leswilson,

The QU range of mixers offers the possibility of logging in as ADMIN, Standard user or Basic user. What you are trying to set is a list of multiple Standard users or multiple Basic users with a password for each.
I’m afraid this is not quite available. Admin, standard or basic users, all three can have different passwords, but the option of having multiple basic users is not available on this range of mixers.
SQ mixers do have up to 10 users available to set password and assign scenes to.

You could still setup a Standard user password that only the “Sound supervisor” (So to say) would know. This would be shared among the 3 entities.
Then, you can create one scene for each entity and have the Basic User set to only have access to them. This will be shared among all basic users from the 3 entities, yes. So they would potentially have access to the other entities scenes as well, however, they still only have access to Mutes and Levels only so they wouldn’t be able to change anything else.

You could also duplicate each scene and save these scenes apart from the assigned to Basic User as a backup, so that as ADMIN or Standard user only, you can always go back to them for reference.

    Cheers,
    Rafael

    Hello Jay,
Support hasn’t been official yet, there are a few tests still going on.
However, no issues have been found yet, nor they are expected.
We have users in the field working with it without any issues, but like I said, we cannot officially say it is supported yet until tests are done.

    Cheers,
    Rafael

    Hello @tony,

It seems like you may have some safes or global filters, as mentioned by Mike.
You can double check this by going to Scenes – and selecting Global Filter or Safes, under the Scenes Manager.
You can find more details on these features starting from page 57 of the user guide: https://www.allen-heath.com/media/SQ_ReferenceGuide_V1_5_0.pdf

If you require further assistance, please drop a ticket with the support team at support@allen-heath.com and we will be happy to assist you.

    Hello @mattuati,

The “Lamp” socket is used to connect a gooseneck light-lamp.
Please connect your speakers system to the Main L&R sockets.
Kindly have a look at your user guide (Pages 13 & 14) for more details regarding the different connections: https://www.allen-heath.com/media/Qu-Mixer-Reference-Guide-AP9372_10.pdf

    Thank you,
    Rafael

    Hello @mattuati,

As the output sockets of the QU range are fixed to an output bus, please make sure you are connecting your speakers to the L&R output sockets.
Alternatively, as Mike C has advised, PAFL the Main Mix instead of the individual drums channel to make sure that the signal is in fact going to the Main Mix.

As a side note, the latest firmware available is V1.97, it is always good to stay up to date with firmware versions; so kindly update.
If you encounter any further issues, please submit a ticket at our support centre and I will gladly troubleshoot it with you:support@allen-heath.com

    Thank you,
    Rafael
