Wow. Thanks dpdan for that detailed comparison. Just want to clarify the ALL MUTE issue you brought up. So once the show is over and you tap your “ALL MUTE” mute group button on the app, you can’t just tap on Bill’s channel’s mute button and quickly un-mute his mic? We have to un-mute the other band member’s mics as well?

dpdan, I’ve been debating between the two rack mixers as well. I like the FX, front controls and quick multi-channel recording on the Qu-PAC, but I like the Master Fader app better on the Mackie. I also like the fact that they created a control surface for it. Question about the reverb on the DL32R, with the recent firmware update, did you notice an improvement in sound? Thanks.

I downloaded the app to test as well and I agree with the OP. In our case, if we do get the Qu-PAC mixer, we will set it up on stage and mix via the iPad. Our concern is using the touch screen to adjust PEQ and other settings. My question is, is it possible to connect a control surface (similar to the PreSonus FaderPort or Steinberg CC121) to the iPad via usb adapter to control the Qu-PAD app? I understand that this won’t work for people moving around the room, but for those of us who plan to mix on the iPad from one place away from the stage, it will be helpful.

With regards to recalling scenes, are you able to assign a soft key for this function so that you only need to press one button? Also, when you turn on the mixer (after using it for yesterday’s gig), will all of the processing or I guess every setting be back to where it was last used/saved including the fader position? So if I left channels on and not muted, it will turn on the same way? Thanks guys.

We’re interested in the Qu-Pac as well, but we’re new to A&H products and layout. Newbie question: What do you guys use the ST1 and ST2 INs for? What about the Alt out and 2TRK out? Can you connect a Sub using the Alt out?

Regarding the Stereo Mix outs, does it allow panning?

    Thanks all!

I know this is old, but does anyone know if this is an actual DSP limitation? Can’t A&H add this functionality via a future firmware update?

I had the same question too, about routing a single mic to two different channels, but for a different reason. We have two (sometimes three) different lead vocals but they’re all using one mic. I would like to apply different EQ and dynamics, even gain settings, but it sounds like I can’t do it. I guess I’ll have to buy those Y cables. Another newbie question, how do these Y cables work? Do they affect the signal going into the board?

Also, once I have them hooked up to two channels with different EQ, etc., do I just mute the channel that I don’t need and unmute the other and vice versa, when the lead vox switches? Thank you.

@ Chickentown, do you have pictures of your SKB shallow rack with the Qu-Pac in it? Is it easy enough to connect the cables in the back? Thanks.
