Some minor refinements to address the things that have been commonly asked for would be nice.

I wonder if the manufacturures are pining for those days when they had to have a product 99.9% done and ready to compete when it hit the market. Rather than being able to tweak and implement features that werent ready on launch with firmware upgrades.

Speaking on behalf of the users that don’t have a decade plus of experience, we agree.

I had this happening on my qu-16, but i never really needed to do DAW control with the desk, where i have the QU set up in relation to my computer isn’t really effective for that anyway, so i uninstalled the AH DAW control applet from my mac and haven’t had any problems. I can see using the faders on a 16/24/32 to control faders in logic, but what are you intending to do with DAW control on the Pac?

Totally agree, definitly not saying this can’t be done via qu-drive. If you were using a seperate piece of software for this, the qu would be your interface and you would end up setting 2 of your channels for usb and streaming click and backing tracks to the channels via usb.

Very true. Sounds like this would be possible in theory, but most likely best left to software like mainstage or abelton.

seems like its too difficult to control the transport for the qu drive to accurately sequence backing tracks. If it were me, i would just use the audio output of an airport express and run that into one of the stereo inputs. Then you can airplay your backing tracks.

The daw integration part of the forum is for DAW control via midi. As in using the qu-faders on the custom layer to control faders in your daw. Nothing to do with actual audio being passed through and actually i dont think it would apply to a qu-pac at all. I would imagine anyone on here recording midi data is doing it with something other than a qu, as the qu is not a midi interface per se, but it can receive and transmit midi signals.

My suggestion is to run everything into a full fledged DAW, on a computer. You will be able to do everything you are asking relatively easy, while maintaining the iPad strictly for mix control. If you’re doing qu drive recordings, but also planning to sync that up with midi stuff you recorded on your ipad, seems like it would be a whole lot easier just to record everything together at once.

Do you have any reason to record the keyboard as midi data? Do you plan on running it through other software instruments in post?

QU drive records 24 bit, 48khz wav files only. If you want to record midi notes you are going to need to use a DAW.

haha i know, i’m, quite calm. In my experience in the states though, with all the MAP policies and stuff, the price doesn’t just drop in just ONE shop… ever. A guy can hope.

You are correct, my mistake, $100 on 16, $200 on 24, $300 demo savings on 32 on sweetwater tricked me.

LOL, I Think we’re all hoping for expand-ability a la the SB and PAC. And scribble strips.

Sweetwater, no price drop on the PAC or SB, just the 16, 24, and 32.
