There are so called ‚usb to ethernet‘ adapters for android and iOS in the consumer market, that work. But you need to take care of
    – does your iOS or android version support ethernet?
    – is the adapter successfully used and approved for your type of tablet?
cause there is no generally recommendable unit.

I’d like to retain the 8-channel bank view but get a GLD-like one channel overview in addition.

Good idea but not as simple as it seems to be. I tried to simulate it in the DiGiCo Macro Editor:
Implementing a common ‘off action’ to a selected channels high pass/low pass, equalizer, compressor and gate is simple but … there is no ‘undo’ option so if you programm an ‘on action’ all processing stages go to ‘on’ even those not choosen before, and if you programm a ‘toggle’ action all those beeing unactive before go to active and vice versa.

+1 for the ‘unmute a channel within a muted mute group’ option and
+1 for the ‘return to mute group’ behaviour.

Good idea. Even on GLD I happened to mix to the last used mix master instead of the wanted LR Master. Please give us a more in your face indication as Rob proposed.

    … or another example:
EQ of one channel on left screen and the dynamics/deep processing of the same channel on the right screen …

There are missing two features in the DCA style mute system.
    1. As mentioned above mute groups shall optionally behave as ‘soft mute groups’ i.e. a single input channel within a muted group shall be unmutable while the group stays muted….very helpfull in the case of an unexpected return of one artist.
    2. Input mutes shall optionally behave as soft mutes i.e. an input channel member of a mute group muted by the channel mute Switch can be unmuted by the group mute it’s routed to… very helpfull at showtime if there are some ‘forgotten’ channel mutes on a hidden layer …

Thank you Keith, i anticipated that. Should be different cause a dlive rack is a mix engine in the dlive world but a digital stage box in the SQ world so the card GigaACE port is solely the preamp/converter path and the main GigaACE port is that path + the mix rack mixing remote path … in my humble interpretation …

Can someone explain the difference in functionality between pluging directly from s-link port of an SQ to a giga-ace port of a dlive rack and using an additional giga-ace card on the dlive rack pluging from s-link of an SQ to giga-ace port A or B of the card as shown in the paper linked above … ?

Do the card giga-ace ports understand s-link but the generic rack giga-ace port doesn’t?
I thought that the main function of the card is ‘giga-ace split’? If giga-ace card is not the same as giga-ace rack why can’t you give ‘understand s-link functionality’ to the racks main giga-ace port?
