I didn’t know that until now. Thanks for the tip!
I still miss this feature in Version 1.30
According to website of A&H, the USB A is just for Stereo recording and playback.
Connect a PC to USB B to do multitrack recordings via a DAW.
Or use SD card for multitrack recordings on the fly.
I discovered the same phenomenon on my SQ5. Firmware 1.5.9
Beside the mentioned missing display of connected stageboxes, I also miss the display of inserted extension cards as well as e.g. temperature of the system (the SQ gives more information than the Avantis).
I would like to find these informations in the USER -> Status -> Home screen).
Just a small edit to my post: maybe it works with my setup of Avantis and QLXD, because the QLXD are about three years old and not the latest version of hardware revisions.
Well, I’m sitting right in front of my Avantis (Firmware 1.25) with 6 Shure QLXD4 connected all on the same network (one router, avantis via network connected to router, once 4 QLXD4 via Netgear 5-port-switch connected to router and once 2 QLXD4 vie Netgear 5 port-switch connected to router).
I can see all QLXD4 in Shure Workbench and on the Avantis. Just updated the QLXD to Firmware 2.04.07.
In the channel Preamp view of the Avantis I can see the RF-Signal, the audio input level and battery-state.
You should show us pictures of all the connections between the desks and the stage boxes and the network-components.
Connect GX4816 to Monitor-console. Then use Tie-Lines to route the channels to the FOH-console. Monitor-console needs an additional S-Link-Card.
There are videos from Allen&Heath regarding using Tie-Lines.
Fully agree. Copy / Paste is a must-have.
I would like to know if I would see the inserted cards in the Utility -> Status – Screen (as I unfortunately do not see the connected stageboxes)
Found the solution on the Avantis: when you press and hold the RESET button, you can give a nugle to the faders. In GEQ-mode this will flip the fader back to 0dB.
But this method can also flip any fader (Input, Mix, Matrix, etc) either to 0dB or to -00dB, depanding on the direction of the nugle to the fader.
