I guess I should have said, don’t AMD based motherboards use non-intel usb chipsets?
2017/12/30 at 4:17 pm #67232But don’t AMD based motherboards use Nvidia usb chip sets?
2017/12/29 at 3:05 pm #67198Maybe we should start a list of computers and laptops that don’t use intel usb chips. Do all AMD based motherboards work without problems?
2017/12/26 at 5:47 pm #67149s, remember, this problem arose from Intel not following usb standards in their usb3 chip design. A&H designed to the standard. Non-Intel chips don’t exhibit this problem.
2017/12/18 at 9:31 pm #67012Giga, you’re probably right. Maybe I should just break down and order a few SanDisk Extremes from Amazon and be done with it. I was trying to source thumb drives from our local office supply store to save time (I thought they matched the compatibility database, but apparently they were a little different. Lexar and PNY drives).
Thanks
Gary
2017/12/16 at 2:55 am #66953aarong, I just installed an Android emulator on my Windows 10 desktop, Droid4X, and was able to install and run Mixing Station. I’m not at the board so don’t know for sure if it actually works, but it, or some other emulator, is something you might look into. There may even be an iOS emulator out there that will work with A&H’s apps.
2017/12/14 at 2:03 pm #66894Hi Alex,
It was just a stereo recording. I think for recording we’ll stick with a portable hard drive and use thumb drives for scene and library storage.
Thanks
Gary
2017/12/14 at 12:30 am #66878A little off topic to this post, but I just listened through the songs recorded to the thumb drive (Lexar S75 32GB USB 3.0) and one of them had a spot where 0.5 to 1 second is missing. No gap, but as if it stopped recording for that time then continued. Ruined the song. We have a portable hard drive that works okay, but seems like overkill since we’re expected to reformat a 1TB drive each time we record less than 2GB for the service.
Rant over.
2017/12/12 at 3:31 pm #66843Thank you all for your feedback (no pun intended). I will try the different options to find what works best for us. I’ll post back later.
2017/12/03 at 9:47 pm #66668Possible buffering problem? Maybe reformat? Have you tried a different stick or portable hard drive?
2017/11/13 at 8:34 pm #66269Thank you all for your input. I think you’ve given me a path forward.
2017/11/11 at 6:14 pm #66242This almost sounds like the same problem many people have with noise when using usb streaming. The problem has to do with the Intel usb 3 chips in the computer. This may also be causing noise on the midi channel which ends up randomly muting the board. You might look through the posts having to do with usb noise to find a remedy.
2017/11/01 at 1:41 pm #66026BigDreamer, just to complete this thread, what setting fixed the problem?
2017/10/28 at 12:59 am #65947Gang mode is for ducking multiple channels using a single trigger, not ducking one channel using multiple triggers. For what you want, create a group of the sources you want to be the triggers. On the channel you want the triggers to duck, choose Single mode and select the group as the trigger.
2017/10/28 at 12:03 am #65944Dick, thanks for the tips. We’ll try the spectrograph. Our sanctuary is not conducive to flat EQ. The ceiling is vaulted wood decking but thankfully the floor is fully carpeted and the seats are all padded. The speakers are also tipped away from the ceiling and the 2 mid/high speakers are pointed so they don’t overlap. Hopefully we’ll get OK sound.
