I’d wish for recall of specific library presets on specific channels. such as eqs gates comps etc. Going from singing to speech for example..
Oh my. Yes you’re right. I forgot that those are numerically tied to the FX slots.
However the feature of directly accessing the relating fx slot would still be handy. Double tap on the select button of the aux or sth like that. Could we then please get rid of those FX sends since they are just confusing users that are new to the desks?
For example: the templates for the strip assignments are generally a good starting point. But right then and there is the moment where you have to figure out for yourself that the FX sends are no good and manually patch it to auxes.
One of the biggest drawbacks about the “Update 2.0” is that something as essential as this feature is not in it.
Just a simple example:
Kick GRP + Snare GRP + Toms GRP
Going to Kick Return IP + Snare Return IP + Toms Return IP
V
V
V
DRUM GRP
Going to Drum Return IP

BAND GRP

L/R
Don’t forget to double check your routing.
Complicated but achievable in preproduction. Routing-Horror nonetheless.
Now we are at a show and we get some extra horns f.e.:
Yeah right, put them all together in a “Horns GRP” ..so I can dyn8 those guys altogether..
and then straight to the Band Grou…. ******! Are there any Inputs left? Need to make a Stereo IP… Soundcheck time is over? Ok…
It’s annoying. If the Behringer Wing can do it (at least on the first 8 GRPS) -> Dlive should be able too (at x times the pricepoint).
Yeah, we know the workaround. But please fix it anyways.
Otherwise there wouldn’t be much need for the “FX Channels” at all.
Cheers, Michael
