Hi, can any one point me to the DAW guru of the SQ world in relation to Studio One. Ive followed all of Keith’s vids and have signal at the Midi Control program as indicated by the small boxes and have even had the MIDI symbol on Studio One illuminate when I touch the faders on the SQ5 but no reaction to anything to enable me to work on a saved multitrack file. Im sure its configuring Studio One that Is the problem and im now pulling out what little hair I have left. Any help much appreciated.

It sounds like you’re doing pretty well with the A&H side of things.
If you’ve followed the instructions here – https://www.allen-heath.com/content/uploads/2024/06/AH-MIDI-Control-V2.10-Help_Iss1.pdf – then you should be in a position where the SQ is sending (and receiving) MIDI messages to (and from) the A&H MIDI Control app, which has then created 4x virtual MIDI ports that each emulate an MCU or HUI control surface.
So at this point, you should only need to follow the instructions from Presonus to add a control surface, using those virtual ports.
I found some instructions here – https://support.presonus.com/hc/en-us/articles/9051185623437-Studio-One-6-Basic-Midi-Setup-New-Keyboard-Control-Surface-Instrument-Faderport – but of course we can’t offer proper support on other people’s software.Cheers!

Works through Mackie control/Hue…but no option to select channels into 1-8/Midi 1……..9-16 midi 2 etc so just get lots of duplication on faders amongst other things.
We were only trying to get some old live gig recordings through the SQ to play around with the processing before going live with the desk in a weeks time. We’ve given up…….I’m sure Saltash Working Men’s Club will forgive us for a few sound cockups!!
Have a Happy New Year

1) Set up the A&H MIDI Control utility as per the instructions Keith linked to.
2) Create one Mackie Control device (connected to DAW Control MIDI 1) and three Mackie Control Extender devices (connected to DAW Control MIDI 2-4).
3) Click “Placement…” in the ‘External Devices’ Preferences pane and create a group with all four devices (Mackie Control first, then the three Extender devices in order.)Hope this helps! (The only issue I noticed is that Studio One does not clear the channel name display when you quit.)
