I was a long time Cubase user as well. Made the switch to Reaper last year and not looking back… No cost to try it out, $60 if you like it.
I have successfully updated firmware (QU24) using a WD hard drive. Make sure the firmware file is in root of the drive, Lets say when you plug in your drive it shows up as your “D” drive, put the file in D:\. You may want to try this on a fresh format.
I have been meaning to request this as well. Up to 10 seconds.
Did I miss something or did we skip 1.72?
Spent about an hour on the new update this morning, all good. Also bit the bullet and updated my Ipad to 8.2 with no issues.
Hey Steffen, It is Yamaha that got me on this… On my day gig we have several stages with Yamaha M7’s and the SOG is phantom on after wiring. If you have a PFL on your headphones/monitors can take a good hit. If any of you guys had the original MixWizard, this was a huge problem.
I have also been at this game since the early 70’s, and have to admit I can only think of one time a damaged component may have been attributed to a switch with phantom on.
Agree, no updates when you don’t have the time to test/address any possible issues. That said, I do make time to keep drivers/firmware/software up to date.
I can confirm that two of the QU-Drive play back bugs have been fixed:
– Last 3 seconds of stereo playback being cut off.
– 35+ titles now works
LKY,
Holy cow, 150k tracks, now that’s a library!
I will send an official support request to A&H and see what happens. Not the end of the world, for now these tracks are for my system setup at shows, but having this available for a BGM source would be convenient. I also like the idea of taking a digital track straight into the board.
Hey guys, thanks for the reply’s.
I converted the WAV files to 48k, 24bit, system still cuts off the last 3 seconds. I had also noticed a clicking sound when stopping or skipping tracks, changing the file format seems to have fixed that…
Hello,
I just received my QU-24 and have noticed the issues Hawk and GR-PDX are experiencing, cutting off the last 3 seconds of stereo play back. All tracks (21). 44.1 kHz, 1411 kbps. Tracks play fine from my desk top.
Is there any resolution for this?
Thanks.
