Hi Lukree
I think the faders in the Custom layer are fixed via the Daw control app and do follow the midi data very well. They do send NRPN but i don’t know what it would do to the DAW Control if you mapped one fader separately, because it runs with Mackie and HUI protocol and its premapped as far as i know. The DAW Control works perfectly on my QU-32 in Ableton as do other mappad parameters for DAW Control on the mixer. I use Windows 7 and the latest version of Ableton. Maybe if you go to preferences in Ableton to MIDI/Sync menu and try something with the the DAW Control settings there? You could set the NRPN to send out a CC and it should run smoothly, but i don’t know why one fader wouldn’t follow the midi data. Is it always the same fader? Does the fader just stop following the midi data in the middle of the session in Ableton or it just twitches from time to time and then works again?

So i want the custom layer selects to control the input layer selects (to the corresponding channel ofc) for ease and workflow. I want to integrate daw control (custom layer) with the input layer, so we would have a 48 channel (32 on the input layer, 16 on the mix layer) mapped ssl on the QU mixer and be able to contol it on the custom layer. In fact the whole strip on the Reason SSL can be mapped perfectly via the touchscreen on the QU mixer input layer and works extremely well. No the two layer selects are not linked. Yes the soft keys do send midi which i have assigned elsewhere.
Kind regards

I dont think the strip keys will help as they are only in the custom layer. I am trying to connect all the select buttons from the Custom layer to the select buttons in the Input layer. Is there any way to send midi data to the input layer select buttons?
Kind regards

My first post here. I just wanted to let you know that since I bought my QU 32 2 months ago I have been doing extensive midi mapping of the console. We use Propellerheads Reason 9.1 ,Pro Tools 11 and Ableton 9.7 as DAWs. I have been able to map all the mapable parameters on the touchscreen that send MIDI data (Procesing:- EQ,gate, compresion, trim, Routing: Mix sends) to the channel strip on the Reason SSL Mixer. For this I use Bome MT Pro. I have done this one the setup layer, because Reason doesn’t fully support the 32 channels in DAW Control on the board ( just 16 channels and no select button). This is mapped on all 32 channels(will map also all mapable ones in the control layer) on the setup layer and they will be fixed, so a saved template for Reason will be necesary. It works also in daw control, but the channel has to be selected from the setup layer. The master fader is also fully mapped. The board is performing extremly well. I think it will be fully running in about a week. Will do it for Ableton and Pro Tools as well.
Kind regards
