Hi! I’m new here on the forums and appreciating all the information.
My request concerns the fact, that although I do understand, that FBA is usually not a channel “effect” and correctly placed in the eq-section of outputs, this setup has strong limitations:
FB is created by microphone-input mainly and only those channels should be affected by the notch filters – keyboard inputs would only suffer from the spectral and phase distortions created by FBA (in any setup, Live, Hold, …).
Next, since the PEQs allow for no small Q than 1/9, they difficult to use, if you are working on difficult microphone settings, such as amplifying a grand piano in a smaller venue.
Thus, I would request either of:
1) be able to somehow select the input channels, an FBA of an output is applied to (maybe not that easy to come up with in terms of software implementation), or,
2) be able to use FBA processing as insert in “difficult” channels
3) Another option would be the ability to route back a (stereo) ouput to the (stereo) input, by which a real subgroup (not DCA) would be available that also has the feature of FBA. This creates two problems: strong feedback, if a loop is accidentialy created, and increased latency in this setup. However, this is what I’m currently doing (blame me for that…): routing back out5+6 to stereo-in via symmetric patch cables in the analogue way.
