I did pay for an upgrade. It’s called an M-Waves card and it gives me access to the entire Waves catalog, giving me absolutely everything that I need a much more.
Sidechain? Had it for years.
Compressors, EQ’s, Gates, noise reduction, AMM. All there.
So I have a world class desk that can talk to any other Waves compatible desk.
What more do I need?

2016/12/08 at 5:57 pm #59784So you know how A&H’s sister company, Digico, came out last year with the Core 2 upgrade for all of their SD boards which essentially doubled their capacity via a software and firmware update? Well, perhaps we could see the same could thing happen to the GLD boards? Just sayin…
2016/12/01 at 6:10 pm #59611A couple of things with this. First of all, I think you’re confusing inputs with outputs. You’re not sending your Mac out THROUGH ST1 or ST2. You’re sending your Mac INTO ST1 or ST2. Then you are sending ST1 or ST2 out through the L/R outputs.
You cannot bypass a channel to get into to the L/R outputs. That MUST go through a channel.
You can see a list of all of the channel patches on page 74 of the User Manual.

2016/11/15 at 8:46 pm #59346I had to guest engineer at a festival Saturday afternoon (the engineer who had been running it had to leave for family reasons). It was an X32 with a DL32 stage box. First band was fairly straight-forward. 4 people – drums, bass, guitar and 3 vocals. 2nd band was 5 people – drums, bass, guitar, acoustic guitar, (2) congas and 4 vocals. Not as straight-forward, but added congas in vacant channels on the DL32. Unfortunately, they were nowhere near the other drums on the console, but not a big issue.
The 3rd band was 10 people – 2 keys plus a B3 with Leslie, guitar, bass, drums, (3) congas, 6 vocals, sax. There was no simple way to re-layout the inputs for the board to make sense, so we added inputs where we could with only 45 minutes to change over. So I had 3 layers of inputs with nothing where it should have been.
On the GLD, I could have put them on any input and dragged them EXACTLY where I wanted them on the console.
And I wouldn’t have had to listen to what I consider a very harsh sounding compressor on the X32.
All during that set I kept wishing I’d had the GLD rather than the X32.
2016/11/07 at 2:02 pm #59131There is no comparison between the sound quality of the M32 and GLD! Don’t waste your money on the M32. Buy the GLD.

2016/09/18 at 12:55 pm #58242Are you running the outputs directly out of the Qu-Pac or are you using an extender such as an AB168 or AR2412 connected to your outputs?

2016/08/25 at 1:09 pm #57810Just the desk. But I do have access to AR84’s and AR2412’s if you need.

2016/06/08 at 2:26 pm #56406Did they say May of which year?
2016/06/06 at 3:21 pm #56342By default, the Mac will send the sound to channels 1&2. Make sure that you’re looking there for the sound. Also, make sure that you set those channels to USB input.
One last thing to check. Make sure your volume is up. When you change outputs, sometimes the Mac sets the volume to 0.
If you need to run the output to a different channel, this is accomplished through the Audio Midi Setup program. Just search for it and make sure you select the output side, not the input side.
