There are simple hacks on-line that open up the Fire tablets to the entire Google Play Store (since they are Android-based systems). I hacked mine a couple of years ago when I got an SQ and it’s worked flawlessly since. Google it and follow the simple instructions.

I think I’ve heard others say that, too. I’ll be on a Surface Book 2 tonight. I’ll try it.

According to my inventory list, they’re due in December. However, they will be shipped to customers in the order that the orders were received.

It’s possible to do. I have done it. (But it is not supported by A&H.) What you need is a wireless access point to provide a bridge to your wireless network. Connect the WAP to your network. Then connect the IP-8 to the WAP and you’re good to go.

I had the same problem. It’s in the Soundgrid Driver Buffer. Bump that up to 1088 (or as high as it will go) and this should solve your issue.

You should be able to use any of their servers. You probably won’t hit it too hard, even with the small one. The most CPU intensive plugins are the H-Verb and H-Delay.

For those, you’d need the Waves card and a Waves server or your latency would be too high.

Without the Waves card and Waves server, you’re going to introduce a lot of latency, so you’d be only able to use plugins like reverb and delay.

What were you wanting to use?

On the other hand, if you had a Waves card in the SQ and a Waves card in the GLD, you’d be able to accomplish what you wanted with low latency (assuming you also had a Waves server).

Have you upgraded the firmware to 1.4.1? I understand that fixed the problem.

Also somewhat disappointed that a premium product company like A-H allows this to occur with little feedback or apology. I have never had these issues with the multiple sites where I run X32 gear (5+ years and many updates now under my belt).

So you’re blaming A&H for an issue on a tablet that you hacked? (Google store does not run natively on the FireHD. I have one and did the hack, too, to make that work.)

So I also began having issues with “digital noise” a few months ago (again). I got with Waves on it and tried a few things over a few days. I finally found someone there who figured it out. I already had the WSG buffer set at 192 sample. But that wasn’t the only buffer that needed to be adjusted. It ended up being a very simple change. In Soundgrid Studio, click on the Setup tab on top. Then select the Settings tab on the left. Check your network buffer. As I recall, it defaults to something like 208. Set it as high as you can. Mine is set to 1088 now and that fixed my issue.

Let me know if that fixes your issue.

That’s because the processor is in the mixrack, not the console. If you had an SQ and disconnected the stage box from the SQ, you’d be able to do just what you want since the processor is in the SQ, not the stage box.

Yes. There was a $400 price drop.
