It would be extremely helpful to be able to unmute a channel even if it is assigned to a mute group. That channel would remain unmuted until it is muted again, syncing with the mute group, and would remain unmuted if the rest of the mute group is unmuted, then would mute when the entire group is muted.

Yes, it would be great. For example when the band paused and a anounced moderation comes in. Then it would be very helpful to unmute temporally a Vocal MIC

this is on all A&H consoles the same behavior
and I believe it will not change for the near future

maybe @keithjah can chime in to comment

I would welcome this unmute option, working the way that The DRis suggests.

    Hi,
I would like to understand why the present A&H solution is better, then the suggested one?
What are the use cases of the present solution?

This is an ordinary use case, I usually have:
Usually, I mute every channel by mute group, but sometimes somebody wants to speak into one of the mic on the stage.
Musicians already started to disassemble/reassemble, this is why I don’t want to unmute the mute group, just only one channel.

It would be very useful if I can configure this behavior on the mixer.

    BR, Gábor

This is the way I am use to it working on Digico consoles, and so working in my smaller venue with an SQ makes it really tough to not have this option! (Yes, I understand they are not in the same league…)

+1 it’s pretty inflexible as it is.
In order to preserve current behaviour, how about a setup toggle that uses ‘mute button to unroute from dca mute’, or indeed a softkey option that says ‘unroute selected channel from dca mute groups’

I don’t know what you are trying to say.
What we talk about is definitely no un-route from DCA function.
If a channel is muted via mute group it should unmute when it’s own mute button is pressed and after unmute and mute the group again, the channel should be muted again.
