My church has an SQ7 for FOH & a SQ5 for Livestream (mixing). Sources of inputs are coming from both stage box & local inputs into the SQ7 (essentially every inputs must be in SQ7 first). Those inputs are then shared through the SLink of SQ7 to the SQ5.

We set our inputs (to read) as SLink 1, Slink 2, Slink 3, etc.. in the SQ5 channels. All signals (instrument, mics, etc) are working fine in the SQ7. However, in the SQ5, we are not getting any signals for our four choir mics. I have made the inputs in SQ7 as “chronological” order (1 – 12 Wireless Mics as Locals) (13 – 48 as SLINK [Stage Box]) so that the inputs are not jumping back and forth from local to slink. The SQ5 still can’t read any inputs from the SQ7.

I am still learning about Tie Lines, so I am unsure about using Tie Lines. Any help is appreciated, Thank you Forum!

The image file that maybe help to solve the problem is unfortunately not available (at least not for me).
And i think, the most would certainly prefer JPG.

What is your stage box – a GX 4816 or a DX168? Which port is the stage box connected to your SQ7?
Which port is your SQ7 connected to your SQ5?

I don’t have to complete picture here but I’m assuming you have the extra s-link card installed in the SQ-7 and then you have the SQ-5 connected to the SQ-7 using a dedicated (s-link) ethernet cable (the extra s-link card is essential for this to work)
If this is not how you have the system connected, you must remember that you can only have 32 channels per (s-link) ethernet cable when using the DX system.
If you connect like this all channels should be able to be routed between consoles:
    1-Dedicated ethernet cable between SQ-7 s-link connection and the SQ-5 s-link connection
2-Dedicated ethernet cable from the SQ-07 s-link cards slot to the s-link stage box (DX-168 or GX-4816)

The SQ-7 will handle all the preamp gain and the SQ-5 will use input trim to adjust the levels for livestream feed
    Hope this helps…

    To help clarify…
The direct connection between the SQ-7 and the SQ-5 operate using the gigaACE protocol of 128 inputs x 128 outputs and require a dedicated ethernet cable.
The stage box will require another dedicated ethernet cable to either console (usually it goes to FOH or SQ-7) for inputs from stage.
Once the consoles are connected you will be able to see all inputs of the SQ-7 on the routing table of the SQ-5.
Unfortunately both consoles only come with one s-link connection so you will have to purchase an s-link card for the expansion slot on the back of the console (the card can go in either console however the FOH console usually has priority)
    Best of luck!
