    Dear All,

Having Pulled the show from the desk onto my phone (Android), Iv’e noticed the following:
1 – Aux1 to Aux12 does not reflect the names of the Aux sends on the desk.
2 – Layers configured on the desk are not shown in the Custom 1-6 on the app.
3 – Scenes are not listed in the Scenes tab on the app, it shows Global Filter and Safes but can’t see a list of Scenes from the Pulled show.

Many thanks in anticipation of any feedback.

    Hi Churchy,

1 – Aux1 to Aux12 does not reflect the names of the Aux sends on the desk.

There is a setting in the app under ‘Setup > MixPad’ where you can choose whether or not to ‘Display Mix Names’.

2 – Layers configured on the desk are not shown in the Custom 1-6 on the app.

Custom layers on the app are independent to desk layers in order to allow configurable setups for one or multiple users (eg. one engineer with the console at FOH and another using MixPad for monitors). However, when setting up the custom layers, there is an option at the top right labelled ‘Copy Desk Layer’ so you can quickly duplicate something you’ve done on the desk in MixPad Online. When Offline, you’ll notice that MixPad layers are labelled ‘Layers’ rather than ‘Custom’. This is because when offline, these DO represent desk layers (so you are able to set up the desk layers when away from the console).

3 – Scenes are not listed in the Scenes tab on the app, it shows Global Filter and Safes but can’t see a list of Scenes from the Pulled show.

Scenes are not yet available in MixPad Online – these work differently to Offline scenes (which are stored on the remote device), and we prioritised Offline scene feature to allow an entire show to be setup away from the console. You should therefore find that you are able to see the scenes of a pulled show when it is loaded into MixPad Offline, but for live control (scene advance or recall) you can use SoftKeys.

I should add that SQ-MixPad is built and updated in parallel with the SQ firmware, so although we ensure they are very similar in appearance and function, they are different systems and there are features in the firmware which are not yet in MixPad.

Hope this explains it and helps a little!
    Keith.

Does anyone know if there are any plans to “add” the ability to change scenes on mixpad, currently in the works?

Many thanks Keith, that’s very informative.

I’ve also noticed that the Libraries are not transferred either when a show is pulled – is it possible to get the user libraries into the offline app too?

    Thanks again in anticipation,
