I have my stage box going into my sq5 like normal but I want to also use the expander part to possibly go into a CQ 18 to run a live with its own processing. Is that possible, or is there any better things I can do
I’m not sure exactly what you are trying to accomplish, the CQ series consoles have zero expansion. You cannot connect a digital stage box or another console to the CQ via a digital connection. The analog I/O and USB I/O is the only I/O available on the CQ series and there is no chance to add more, nor can you use the CQ as an expansion device for another console except through this analog/USB I/O.
