The workflow at my church is that some musicians and singers have personal monitor mixers and some use Aux sends from the board. We use scenes for the various portions of a service – announcements, choir song, congregational song #1, song #2, sermon, etc. On a typical Sunday, the band will show up and start practicing. A sound tech will go to the stage with an iPad to adjust the IEM mixes of those performers without personal mixers. Unfortunately, there is no way for the IEM tech to update the current scene. (And until 2.0 they could not change scene either.)

Enabling “Auto Store” from the desk at the beginning of practice may be a work-around, but does not feel complete. Maybe A&H’s logic is that scenes shouldn’t be updated during a performance, therefore updating them should be something done in a very controlled manner (from the desk), or in a special “practice” mode (Auto Store).
