In the next 30 days — my church will have a dm32 as the mix core for everything — and we’re in the beginning stages of building out how the mixrack will look/behave with director in offline mode. :o) I know I can link a mix bus to a physical output… is there a way to tell the mixrack to clone an output’s output to a second output (would basically be like an old-school ‘y’ cable connected to a single physical output)? Thanks for any ideas with this! :o)
You can patch a bus to more than one physical output on the I/O screen. As far as I know there is not a limit to how many outputs can be fed by a single bus.
Absolutely you can do that. Just like you can patch a single input to as many channels as you want, you can also “duplicate” outputs in a similar way and route a buss/output to as many destinations as you want.
Thank you both so much for that info! :o) Thats what I thought but since dont have the mixrack yet was second guessing myself – lol! So awesome to know and we’ll continue with the design in director. :o) have a blessed day and thx so much again! :o)
If you would like to start getting a feel for the workflow and discover more about what’s available, you can download dLive Director to a computer from Allen&Heath and use it offline. Congrats on the new system!
