    Hi group.

I set up at a gig last night and couldn’t get sound out of mix output #3. It’s not the cable or the speaker as they both work fine in other outputs. When I plug the cable in to #3 there is a louder pop even though I have the mix channel muted and there is a hiss sound coming from the channel with it plugged in and muted. Obviously there is a hardware issue with this output. Any similar experience with this? I am an automotive electrical specialist but not a mixer repair specialist! :). So am wondering if anyone has repaired an output and what to look for? I haven’t taken the board apart yet.

    Thanks for your time.

    Jamie

Does mix 3 show level on the master meter?
Can you PFL the mix and hear the mix in headphones?
By chance is mix 3 assigned to a DCA group and the DCA
    is turned down?

Hi. Thanks for the response and suggestions.

I reset all the mix settings to a fresh board to make sure it wasn’t a setting like a DCA. Same issue. If I PAFL the Mix 3 I can hear the mix with headphones. Sounds like this points to just the output itself?

    Thanks,

    Jamie

Yeah, that would be my thought also. Maybe you can crack it open to see if it’s something simple like a cracked solder joint ? (the pop)

    Good luck !

    Giga
