We have the Avantis along with a number of ME500s. The issue I have is that outputs 14 and 15 cannot be selected on the ME500. That is to say the volume dots do not appear for those outputs like on outputs 1-13. Note: no IP channels are assigned to output 16.

The issue is with all MEs.
There are IP channels assigned to the ME outputs 14 and 15 on the I/O page.
We do not ever adjust the Ip Direct Out of the channels; so I have no reason to believe this would be set to -Inf dB.
I have confirmed the IP channels are not a part of a stereo pair i.e. IPs are set to Mono on the Setup -> Config -> Input Stereo screen.
I loaded another scene (one the scene being used is based on) and ME outputs 14 and 15 work as expected.

I have not yet tried moving the IP channels from outputs 14/15 to other working outputs, but that is the plan, hoping they work, as the band really needs the instruments in those IP channels in their ears.

I would appreciate any other suggestions for troubleshooting or thoughts as to what the issue could be.

    Thank you
    Paul

I am not sure what is going on, but I just want to point out that setting up “stereo” channel in the ME system is done independently of the Avantis stereo config. As you noted, the Avantis stereo channel set up is found under “Setup -> Config – > Input Stereo.

However the ME stereo channels need to be set up in the Routing page -> ME tab. When you have that tab pulled up on the screen, you need to click on one of the source numbers at the top (ie channel 14). This will pull up a pop up screen where you can assign a odd/even pair of sources to be stereo. Again, this is independent of the console’s stereo setup, so the two don’t have to match.
