Where can I find a full list of previous firmware versions? There are only limited versions available on the Resources page (https://www.allen-heath.com/hardware/sq/sq-7/resources/)
I’m using an SQ7 with Bitfocus Companion, I’m pretty sure Companion doesn’t work with 1.5.11. I’d like to roll back to 1.5.XX but the next available version is 1.4.4

Everything that is supported by the companion module has stayed the same, so there is no reason I can think of why V1.5.11 would not work.
If you’re referring to the warning that you get about the module being outdated on companion – this is because the module hasn’t been updated for a while.
This is a third party module that we do not upkeep or support, so you might be better to contact the creator of the module or bitfocus.
Saying that, I don’t think anything has changed on either end, so I’m pretty sure it will work.
(actually I just checked quickly with the emulator and it correctly displayed a level and controlled a mute)Thanks,

There are definitely situations where someone would need a specific older version and it’s likely not going to be posted on the support page.
On a related note, the other software like Director, etc also needs to have ALL previous versions posted. This is even more important than the console’s firmware IMHO due to the requirement that the software version match the console’s firmware version. It’s hard to match versions when you can’t download a specific older version.
2024/09/23 at 3:00 pm #125861KeithJ A&HModeratorIt may seem random, but in almost all cases the available firmware versions are the latest for each major/feature release.
This is for exactly the reason you mention, compatibility with apps and other software, or to roll back for testing.
There is no reason to provide firmware with known bugs included, though there are some exceptions. e.g. There is a firmware available for Qu-24 which is only required for the very latest units, so both this version and the previous are available. On the subject of Companion, I may not have been clear, but there is a warning triangle that will appear no matter the version of firmware on the mixer.
It’s not that it’s picking up any changes in communication or interrogating the SQ, it’s just warning that the module hasn’t been maintained and therefore may not work irrespective of having anything actually connected. Thanks,
Keith. -
