    Hi all,

question after noticing that at home after a gig :
I was playbacking the gig record by USB-B and PFL/AFL monitor was in PFL mode. When I adjust the PFL trim the sound level follow the setting, ok but…the 12 LED meter takes into account the value of the trim. We no longer have the “true” input value especially to make gains, I haven’t the mixer with me to check that on local or stagebox inputs.

In the manual p.75 diagram show the trim is AFTER the METER.

Any people have noticed that ?

    Best.

I have also noticed this. I thought PFL Trim was so you can reduce the volume of the PAFL signal going to the headphones so that pre fader signals are not too loud compared to AFL signals. Unfortunately, as you pointed out, the PFL Trim also affects the meter LED’s making it impossible to use them to set the proper gain value. The signal flow diagram on page 99 of the manual shows the PAFL Meter after the PFL Trim now. I’m running firmware 1.4.4 on an SQ-5.

What is the purpose of the PFL Trim?
