I have the LA2a comp with my Waves LV1 and use it mostly on vocals, however SQ’s Opto has very a very similar effect and IMO the subject “new D-Live plug-in” will not bring game changing improvement. In the event you can’t control the dynamic range of your tracks with the SQ’s internal comp or the existing deep 5-pack of comps, it is highly unlikely the new D-Live LA2a look alike will get you where you want to go.
