I’m new to the A&H GLD112 so running the editor at home and looking at videos etc. One thing I can’t find; Under I/O I can see what amounts to a picture of our AR2512 with some assignments such as “Pulpit”, “Mic 1” and so on. But if I go to the AR2412 and route a new XLR input to a empty socket – how do I enter a useful name that socket in the I/O screen? (and one I’ll eventually see above the fader strip)

Klick on the Name in the processing window

You don’t name the sockets, you name the input channels. The I/O page shows you the name of the channel that a socket is patched to.

You can either do the patching from the I/O page by selecting a socket and choosing which channel to route it to. You can also select a channel, and choose it’s source from the preamp tab under processing. This is the only way I’m aware of to patch one socket to multiple channels.
