Inconsistent gain control behaviour on DT168

I just received 2 shiny new DT168’s today, to replace the DX boxes I have been using, and have spent a few hours poking around to get a good understanding of how the SQ interacts with the DT168 in different circumstances. I noticed when using the DT Preamp Control software the lowest gain setting is 5dB but when controlled via the SQ I can go all the way to 0dB. It’s really not a big deal, I’m just curious if there is a reason for this behaviour.
