Got it! It’s 21/22. Not sure why it didn’t work at first.
Ok. I figured this out, but it isn’t easy. First, make sure you download the CQ USB Audio Driver from this page – https://www.allen-heath.com/hardware/cq/cq-12t/resources/. If you have Reaper open restart it after doing this.
In Reaper, go to Preferences/Audio Devices. Choose Audio System ASIO. CQ ASIO Driver should be in the list of ASIO Drivers. Set it up so both input and output have the full range of available channels. (16 in this case).
Your Master Out is the hard thing to set. You have to go to the routing menu on the Master slider. You will need to add a HARDWARE OUT. In my case, I used input 10 because there is no way I will ever be simultaneously recording 9 audio sources in my basement. Once you do that, and so long as Input 10 is set to USB/Bluetooth and sends to main LR, you will hear whatever goes through the master through the headphone jack (which also needs to be set up to be receiving from the main LR).
Is it possibe to update the firmware and use the main l/r as the output for the DAW’s playback that would be great. Even if I assign the 23/24 as main l/r there’s still no output. Hoping for it to come. Thanks.
Hi there to all,
Happy new year!
This is my 1st post at the A&H community!
I have an CQ20B using it for home studio purposes running both mac and windows.
I was wondering…if i want to record simultaneously all inputs (1-16) and at the same time have a playback (backing) stereo track from a DAW, is there something that i should do routing wise?
‘Cause i just tried and it seemed that i had to “sacrifice” 2 inputs (1 & 2, Reaper).
I’m using Reaper (Mac – Win), ProTools (Mac) and sometimes Logic Pro
