Forums › Forums › SQ Forums › SQ general discussions › HELP – how to assign soft key as FX mute button?
I would like to make one of the soft keys function as an ‘fx mute’ button, so instead of muting the band (input channels), I just want to remove the reverb/delay from the channels at the push of a soft button. Any ideas on how to do this? Thank you!
Add all the FX send master faders you wish to mute to a mute group, and then set a soft key to operate that mute group.
Note that it’s important to mute the FX send rather than the return so that the sound of the effects doesn’t disappear/reappear abruptly when the button is operated.
Maybe I just don’t understand the question correctly …
You can also assign to a Soft Key any FX Send or Return by using “Channel Mute”.
However, if you want to mute all FX at once, Phil’s suggestion is of course the best way. )
Thank you!!
