I know this topic has been discussed, but it’s still not totally clear to me.
I assign a couple of vocal channels to FX1, post-fader. I make sure the FX1 send master fader is up. At this point, I need to return the effected vocals to the ME-1’s, but I don’t want them in the FOH.
If I just assign an ME-1 key to the FX1 return, I don’t hear the effect. But if I assign an ME-1 key to Mix1 and I make sure the FX1 return fader is up in Mix 1, then I can hear the effect.
I guess this means I must assign an FX return to a specific mix in order to hear the effect in the ME-1’s. Is this correct? I can’t just assign an FX return to an ME-1 key and hear the effect, right?
