    I have a ZED10 which I have been using successfully for some time for making YouTube videos alongside a lot of BlackMagic video equipment – very pleased with its performance it has to be said. Up to now we have only needed four XLR mic inputs but for a recording in a couple of weeks time we will need a fifth. Probably a naive question but is it possible to connect an AKG C1000S dynamic mic to one of the other inputs (eg the stereo input, with appropriate adaptors) – and still get usable results?

    It may work…..The C1000 is actually a condenser mic but lucky in your case they can
    operate on two AA internal batteries, so with an XLR to 1/4 TRS cable you may get enough
    usable level plugging that mic into a stereo input.
