I’ve started working at a school they have a Dlive DM32 with S500 system installed in their theatre and a portable dlive system consisting of a DM32 and a C1500 system. The portable DM32 has a Giga-Ace card installed as does the S500. I’m told that for some of the larger events outside of the theatre, the school would use the c1500 system as a monitor console and relocate the s500 surface to FOH for these events. I’m curious why my predecessor would install a Giga-Ace card in the surface? I’m really struggling to see how & why this would be useful and if it would even work at all. Any Ideas?
