    Hello, I am looking for help or a tutorial on using the de-esser, when I use it it adds volume instead of removing it on certain frequencies.
    Thank you for your help.
    I am a beginner

    @jb07

    That seems very wrong, are you able to send a recording or video of this to us through support.allen-heath.com please?
    Presuming you have it inserted, it would be good to see all other processing too and/or include a copy of your Scene or Show file.

    Regarding how to use it and what the settings do, as it’s the same unit as one half of the dLive version you can refer to the reference guide here – https://www.allen-heath.com/content/uploads/2023/05/dLive-Firmware-Reference-Guide-V2.0-ISS-2.pdf#page=123&zoom=auto,-218,741

    Thanks,
    Keith.

    I think I don’t have the right method. I have an SQ5

    The De-Esser has only the one method “Reduction”.
    And there are no differences between the SQ-add-on and Keith’s linked description, except for the Link and Listen options (see also pic).

    Are you perhaps using it in an FX send slot, instead of inserted in your vocal channel?
