In the manual under dBFS alignment it says “+18dBu = 0 dBFS (+22dBu at XLR output)”. How does this have two different figures in the same units?
Should it be +18dB meter = 0dBFS = 22dBu?

I think that may be a typo. Should be -18. That would mean -18 = 0db with a +22 max at the connector.
A lot of digital protocol is based around -12 to -18 = O
