We are trying to use the USB out on our QU32 for livestreaming, but our livestream desk is about 100 ft from the main mixer. We bought a AV Access USB extender to convert the USB to Cat6 for the 100′ run and then convert it back to USB for the livestream laptop . Problem is, the laptop doesn’t recognize the QU32 even after downloading the ASIO driver. BUT…when I run the short USB from the mixer directly into the laptop, it works perfectly. The issue is apparently the extender/converter.
My question…does anyone know if an extender can be used with the QU32 at all? Or does it have to be a pure USB run directly to the laptop? Or is there a specific product from Allen & Heath specifically designed to convert the USB to ethernet and back again at the other end?
