So I have a CL5, Im using 3 Rios and the Allen and Heath ME U hub with a Dante card inside to connect to CL5. I currently have everything connected But I cannot get audio from the CL5 to the ME U. Been working on this for about 3 weeks and still can’t get the working together. Can anyone help me troubleshoot shoot

Absolutely nothing. I can’t get the card to show there. I have updated it and the console as well.

if the cards not showing up, it’s likely a network issue
something is wrong with your IP adressing

how was the update done on the card?

So I can see the card but it says “Unsupported” on the Device Mount screen. I did the update by connecting my browser to the ME U dante card. That’s where i was able to update and label the outputs

I guess you mean in the CL-5 Dante Controller…
the Yamaha desk is not able to configure the card, the PC/MAC Dante Controller should help

So i should connect the Card to Dante Controller? Or the CL5?

Currently i can’t see the card on dante controller at all

the CL5 has a Dante Controller built in, this can’t configure devices not listed in the device list
the Dante Controller for PC/MAC can route all devices…
you should connect the devices all to the same Dante network and use a PC/MAC in the same network to connect to the entire system
there you can see if is something wrong

is a device (or a card, that represents a device as well) not listed the IP configuration of that device is different
maybe it’s set to fixed IP in a different subnet

So that would mean i’d have to have everything on a Network switch. Correct?

Right now i have all my devices daisy chained. Would this matter?

How do i connect a daisy chained system to Dante Controller?

I would recommend to use a switch
but the configuration should work in daisy chain mode as well
but it introduces more latency and network load

How do i connect a daisy chained system to Dante Controller?

on the end… secondary port of the last/first device
make shure all devices are in daisy chain mode and in the right IP range
remember, the network socket on the CL5 is not part of the Dante network, same on the control network port on the Dante Card

Yamaha uses device numbers to find and control Yamaha devices and the A&H card has non…
once available in the dante controller you should be able to mount it anyway
you can route from and to the card but that’s all
no further configuration possible, that should be done with the Dante Controller
if you route with Dante Controlleron PC/MAC switch the Dante Controller in the console to off/or slave (don’t remember how it’s called)
