Hi there
Is there a plugin or an effect for to auto-tune voices? Or what other solutions would you recommend?
Thanks.2020/11/01 at 6:16 pm #96052SteffenRParticipantno autotune available at the moment

I use Waves Tune Realtime with LiveProfessor as the host on a mac. Of course this means buying a Waves or Dante card. Either of the cards are fast enough that the latency isn’t a huge issue.
Results depend on the singer. You can use Chromatic for singers that are pretty good, but if they struggle to get within a half step of the note they should be on, Chromatic can correct to the wrong note in the wrong key. I select the key for each song and for most contemporary Christian stuff that works – with some caveats.
Takes some work but the results for us have been worth it – particularly for the stream.
Good luck.

So what is your routing path from avantis to LiveProfessor and back?
We want to tune the vocals for the live room as well as the livestream.
Thanks

so you can use it with Waves and Dantethe routing depends on what position the plug in should operate
as a send FX it is fed from an aux
as insert it is patched in a channel processing pathhttps://www.allen-heath.com/media/Avantis-Firmware-Reference-Guide-V1.03.pdf
page 12 is about inserts2020/11/10 at 4:46 pm #96270GlobalguyParticipantSorry for the delay. I changed computers to an older mac and am having some connection issues now, however previously we routed the cat5 through a Thunderbolt/USB3 adapter to get into the mac. Then in the mac we use the Waves Soundgrid Studio as the virtual sound card and then Live Professor sees the card as an input and output. If we want also record multitrack simultaneously we use Reaper for both and the latency on the pitch correction is still OK. I haven’t tested if both Live Professor and reaper can work simultaneously without conflict.
We don’t patch as an insert, but come out of the direct out and return to a separate channel. Then the vocalist (and other team members) can choose the corrected or the non corrected for their in ear/monitor feeds. Corrected goes t the stream and the house. I am not certain if a vocalist hearing the corrected feed actually improves their pitch or if it makes it worse.
There is another software I would like to test but it is more expensive. Antares makes a plug in that will take an external reference (apparently a single instrument, or a mix) to determine the current key. A single instrument reference works well in TC Helicon hardware so this may be interesting.
Hope this helps a bit – good luck.

That helps a lot!
Does the Avantis and the mac have to have a separate IP-Adress for Dante or am I able to use the IP-Adress which is already configured?
2020/11/13 at 6:46 pm #96325GlobalguyParticipantHey AudioBL – I didn’t need to manually change any IP addresses.
