I’m adding a second one and am trying to figure out how the rack kit deals with the dSNAKE RJ45 ports and IEC power port on the end of the box when it is in a rack.
Have not been able to find any pictures of it in a rack.
Thanks
Picture of the kit here:

I imagine the connectors are behind the longer plate when it’s fitted.
Just noticed the price of that…… 🙁
Sounds kind of kludgey to me. Still would love to see a picture of it installed.
$90 here in the US.
Ouch.
By the time you’ve got the box & the rack kit, you may as well have got an AR2412.
That’s what I’m thinking.
Use the AB168 as a floor-box for smaller gigs and use the AR2412 in the rack for the times when I need more than 16-channels.
I just bid a job today where 16 Dsnake inputs are all I need on a QU24. They have several RF mics that will plug in local. But, I went ahead and bid the 2412. Easier to rack and cheaper. Go figure.
I was shocked at the price reduction of the AR2412,
Gcumbee…,
holy cow, look at your current B stock pricing on a GLD80… WOW!
Tell me about it. GLD retail less now than I paid for a B stock model 1.5yr ago at below dealer cost.
…GLD80 no longer listed at Th*mann/Germany…
how times and technology flies,
our only hope is that eBay will continue to have buyers that would rather have the older stuff…. 🙂
