AB168 Input broken – repair?

I am having issues with Input 6 on my AB168.
I am only getting low, noisy signal even with gain all up. Probably sounds a bit thinner, too.
My question:
Does anyone know how the inputs are built? Are these interchangeable gain circuits so that I might swap them with exchange parts from A&H pretty much myself?
Or is it all SMD, OPs etc with the XLRs hardwired to one PCB?
