In 2009 we talked about a dyn comp or multiband. Now it is 2012. LS9 has got a multiband… Need I list what the new Yamaha can do? Not to mention DigiCo.

I truely feel that you came out first and finished last. :-(

Oh yeah all the Yamahas have three dynamic processors per channel and a very flexible bus structure…and of course graphic EQ in all 16 outputs and still no FX left…

The online editor from DiGiCo is very nice as well. SD-9 has many grafik EQ’s and very flexible FX…

    Sarcastic mode OFF

I would love to see a multiband of course and some other improvements…

Yamaha, Midas, Digico, Avid & Soundcraft can all do some form of dynamic EQ and/or multiband compression.

Unfortunately I sold my BSS901’s expecting AH to provide one … but you cannot buy them anymore. Most digital mixers provide this function, hence the demand for them disappeared.

As much as I love my iLives they lack 3 things I need. Better rider acceptance, better scene management and a dynamic EQ and/ or multiband.

+ 1 and scene fades! Or at least the ability to to timed DCA fades as part of scene recalls

    Hi Joefi,
The mice are indeed clicking. We are working extremely hard to get v1.9 completed and we hope to preview the software early September around PLASA time.
I obviously cannot announce what’s in the release until final development and testing is completed.

Dear Rob, i would like to ask why its ‘obvious’ that we cannot get a list of what’s coming in a software release???
will we be getting scene fade times?
it would be very wise to be releasing roadmap documents for those that have made investments in your platform as this obviously allows them to make educated decisions on wether to continue to invest, or buy into other digital mixing platforms…

My guess would be that if it doesn’t work properly in beta testing they’ll remove it from the update…

Just remember kids no matter how good your mixing is you can’t polish a turd…

That would make perfect sense Rexeltw, why would you want to take a kicking if something you announced did not work out of the box, best to keep the powder dry if you ask me.
Still over my advancing years I have cultivated patience.[:o)]

Haha. Never saw anybody claiming Yamaha to tell their future plans for upgrades.
So better everybody sit back and hope the best.
As said before. Normaly you buy a desk because of what its capable of at the time of purchase not of what maybe will come someday…
