+1!
i don´t need mp3 at this point.
send from my computer…
Why do you think that it would be important for us to know with which phone and with which app you have sent this message? 😉
But I agree with the question!
…

…
Oh … I forgot:
sent from a computer with keyboard and mouse and with an incredibly great app 😉
ThatComplicatedMidiGuy, I understand you – and I´ll second your suggestion.
I had the same wish years ago for the iLive
It is not that I do not get it. But the expander-function would be a nice addition.
in my opinion the best way to split signals is the analog way.
when you have an analog-split, use it 😉
advantages:
no problems with digital-ports!
no problems with different mixingdesks (maybe from different manufacturers)
no problems with “who is the gain-master” – every desk is his own master and you can do what you want!
for me the Dyn8 is also the better deesser.
you can design your own deesser-function in the Dyn8 – and safe it to the library. i do so.
but for beginners, you can copy the deesser-FX in the insert.
my opinion: I do not think that one would have to program there a new deep-processing deesser.
the DYN8 is the better tool. that´s it.
deesser was made for the GLD and QU, i don´t need the deesser any more in dLive.
I recommend you to use simply the DYN8 😉
yes, the DYN8 is the perfect tool for this job 😉
yes, this would be a wonderful tool
… since 2008 I suggested a distortion-FX for the iLive … nearly 9 years ago 😉
my solution:
external equipment = t.c. FireworX – also for dLive 😉
I find it better if the channels are completely muted, when a DCA mute ist activated.
it is only one asks to the approach
but if there was a choice, every wishes covered.
there are two opinions:
– the software resembles very much the desk surface
– the software works regardless of surface gave
both ways have advantages, but also disadvantages!
I am also a friend of the independent representation, like the iLive Editor. however, for beginners the other solution is better.
but maybe one could try to consider both ways?
to the example with additional layer like in the iLive editor?
the functional extent in the D8 is very big. I cannot imagine how one can transform in the widgets. this can be shown in widgets only very much restrictedly.
RTA/EQ Overlap was one of my suggestions for the iLive in 2009 😉
the idea comes from a design study for the mixingdesk EAW UM96 which was never built. the idea is really helpful and was implemented meanwhile also by other manufacturers.
a touchscreen solution for the external screen is not probably planned – as far as I know
however, I am glad very much about this additional one registers for my S3000!
I use for it a keyboard with track ball.
