Look at the lower end of the market. You can learn from everybody and everything. There is the X32 which can manage Scenes and so called snippets. Scenes will always store everything and you can select the parameters which should be loaded from the scenes with recall safes. For snippets you select the stored parameters. In the next step you can define a cue list with scenes and snippets. This is very helpful especially for theater work.

I think he is missing a configureable output of the PAFL. At the moment you can only listen to PAFL via the headphone output. It would be nice to have the opportunity to route the PAFL to any output socket.

So, I was in contact with the support team and now everything is clear.
For all others which may run into the same problem.
I have to take more care about the release notes. There you can find a known issue about using external side chain sources together with SLink input sockets. This will not work at the moment but will be fixed in one of the next updates.

Many thanks to the support team for their quick response.

After the first show I would like to add another feature request to the list above.
    – Add a visual feedback for the current value of the soft rotaries. At the moment they are nearly unusable because the operator do not know the current level set for the assigned level. Probably it is possible to set an individual dimmer value according to the level set for the fader. lower brightness means lower level.

I also see no reason to hide the new release from the public. But as a owner of an SQ6 I can tell everybody here that there are no hidden gems in this new release. The tube preamp and the remote app support. The rest are small changes or bug fixes here and there.
But I hope A&H will revert their new strategy back to the one which was successful all over the years.

    Hi again Alex,
Onece somebody points you in the right direction you can see everything. Now I also understand the four little bars below SLink and I/O Port. And yes, you are right, the routing works now with the AR2412 and Ab168. Fine.

Thank you and all your colleagues and Merry Christmas to all of you

    Hi Alex,

Ah great. A hidden gem;-) As soon as I am possible today I will double check it. Because I want to use the SQ the next days, but I have to deal with more than the 32 Channels which I saw on the surface.

    Hi Alex,

I have now installed V1.1 on my SQ-6. I have connected my AR2412 to the SQ-6 and the I have connected a AB168 to the AR2412 as an expander.
So Connections are SQ-6(SLink)<->AR2412(dSNAKEe) and AR2412(-Expander)<->AB168(dSNAKE)
This is the same as when i use the GLD80 instead of the SQ-6. but whilest the GLD will treat this Stagebox combination as an 40in/20out Box, on the SQ-6 I can only use the first 32 ins and, that is odd, 20 outs. so it seems that the AB168 is treated as an 8in/8out box.
    Am I doing something wrong?

BTW: I never had an issue with the first 32 inputs, also not with V1.0.1. Hmmm.

    Regards
    Klaus

After a first sight it looks great. I wish that the same type of apps would be available for dLive/GLD also;-)
Unfortunately the IOS app needs minimum version 10 of the OS. my iPad mini stucks on Version 9, so it will be unusable. But as far as I can see the android verison looks the same as the IOS app.

I also saw that the version of the app is 1.10. Does that mean that the firmware 1.10 willbe available soon?

    Thank you.

    Hi Nicola,
I have another question regarding Slink. I have an CDM32 with a C2500 dLive System. Can I now put a gigaACE-Card into the CDM32 and connect my SQ6 to those card to have a system where I use the dLive for FOH and the SQ6 for Monitor?
And can I also use the CDM32 as a stagebox for the SQ6? that should be theoretically possible when my first question can be answered with “yes”. I know it sounds a little bit strange but I have always some Jobs where the Size of the Desk matters and even the compact C2500 would be to big for the given space. But nevertheless I need a stagebox and if the CDM32 can act as a luxury stagebox for the SQ I do not have to buy som DX168 immediatly;-) two of them are on the plan but not for the near future;-)

So if I mute it (like you said) it will not be sent at all and if I have the fader all the way down I will get no volume out. Do I understand that correctly?

    Yes, you got it.

    Am I asking too much?

I’m afraid that you want more than the possible. I can theoretically see a way using the GLD remote protocoll and convert it to a DAW control protocoll (like MCU) but that’s not so easy and the one who will do this must have deep knowledge of the GLD protocoll.
So, at the moment it is not possible.

I use live recordings for mainly three tasks:
    – double check my live performance as sound engineer. I play back the recording and route it to my GLD inputs to replace the analog ins I used during the concert. So I can see/hear what I have done during the show.
    – virtual soundcheck. Again route the tracks as inputs for the mixer and do the soundcheck.
    – mixdown of the live recording. Here I start from the scratch in the DAW and do the whole mixdown within the DAW.

for all those tasks I prefer the original audio source direct post headamp.

Foirst of all you can send the Input direct outs to the Dante outputs. On the I/O Page go to IP Port out and assign “Input direct out” 1 to 48. Once you have done this go to the Channel processing of one input channel and go there to the routing tab and switch to “Direct Out”. Here you can define the output level for each channel. You can see this as an output trim. There is also a pull-up window name “DIR OUT SRC” on the bottom of the screen. Open this window and set the global output source (tap point). There are also two switch buttons “Follow Fader” (pre/post fader setting) and “Follow Mute” (pre/post mute setting). If you switch “Follow Fader” on you will record each channel with the used lelive level of the channel.

But I prefer to use “Post PreAmp” and pre fader and pre mute for recording. Because using live levels would bring all the time unexpected results. Far more difficult ist using post mute. because if you accidently forget to unmute a channle you also do not have it recorded.

    Hi Alex,

Here is the output of the msinfo32.exe. I hope it works for you because my windows is set to german and so also the data in that file is in german.

Thank you very much for your support.

    Kind Regards
    Klaus
