If you use the “Audio Taper” Option, the 0dB mark lines up. Version 1.71
my bad. I thought you used a internal FX.
Yes, but even if the unit is used as insert, you can see them in the FX section. And there in the back panel view it is easier to see routing problems. Happend to me once too.
Hi Wolfgang
You used the DX168 like a DX32. The DX168 has no output 17/18.
Can it be that the DX168 is a fixed format 3 slot DX32 for the software?

Sometimes it is easier to check the routing of the FXs in the back panel. Go to the FX section, not the channel.

Some research later: “IEM Mix to Headphones” is a feature from firmware 1.0. It’s not included anymore in 1.7.
Thanks for the tip with the block diagram. There you see also, that you can route the IEM to the headphone jack. The option “IEM Mix to Headphones” is mentioned in the reference guide. But I can’t find the switch in the software.
The pfl trim is a nice workaround. But to have it on a IP8 fader would be great.

I put my question in this thread. It’s related to the surfaceless topic and not worth a new thread.
Is there a way to change the level of the headphone output of the mixrack via software?
One can level the IEM mixes and the wedge mix. But I couldn’t find it for the PFL.

Hi Jens
Jeff is talking about the preamp, Frank about the channels. So we are both right. Or wrong 😉

But always with a suffix like “M”. Nothing worse than two channels with exactly the same name.

If your L/R channels are combined (mixer config), you assign two linked Dyn8 to the insert. If they are individual you need too assign two single Dyn8 which are not linked.
Thats the logic with linked inserts. Stereo insert will be linked. Ganged mono channel/mixes not.

Side question, what is th “Mighty compressor” emulating?
I searched the internet and found an answer:
Valley People Dyna-mite
I’m still experimenting with it.

I would recommend that the soft buttons in the software should be labeled with the function.
On a surface I would label it the old way with tape. But on a monitor with the scrollable soft button row the old way makes no sense.
With the actual software I stick to put the monitor mixes 1 to 6 on the soft buttons, not more. Different function would increase the change of maloperation (is DCA spill on 16 or 17? i.e.).

Both softwares should run independent on one PC.
I have them here on a Windows 8.1 and a Windows 10 PC. At least on the 8.1 PC I was connected to both systems.
I recomment to check your network settings. iLive and dLive use different IP adresses.

I would love to have something like this.
Even better would it be to generate the tap delay time from the klick track of the band
